Mark Horsman

After leaving school with nine O levels I first worked within the transport industry, this led to my first job within construction as a transport and distribution manager for a dry-lining supply company in 1990. In 1992, I moved to become a branch manager for a dry-lining and plastering supply company; a position I held until 1995.

In that year, I left management for a while and took to the tools as a taper and jointer working as a sub-contractor for companies across the south east until I joined B M Hepburn Ltd in 2009. After working as a sub-contractor for a couple of years and with the family run business expanding I entered into management once more as the companies Finishing Supervisor, combining my skills from the tools and past management experience.

As the company has grown so has my role within it, B M Hepburn Ltd have always kept a keen eye on quality and that plays a vital part of my role these days along with micro managing the conclusion of larger projects and managing the ever growing tapping and jointing side of the business.

Away from work I am a keen family man, father to three sons and a step father to a further three. In my early years I played bass guitar in a few local bands before I followed one of my dreams and combined my work in the dry lining industry with my passion for motorcycle sport. I worked for international speedway rider Adam Shields for almost ten years, running his website whilst being responsible for and gaining his sponsors and working as a pit technician on race nights. Highlights through those years included being part of his success as he won the British knock out cup and representing his country in the world cup during two tournaments. These days outside of work, I’m found more at home with my family and fondness of animals and my football team Bristol City FC.
