Steve Gray

After leaving school I first joined a timber company as a fitter /carpenter, to which led me to become a wood machinist.

I have worked for various local companies, which included exhibitions. Not only did I enjoy the detail in the different projects, it also led me to working all over the world setting out and building trade stands and conference facilities for many blue chip companies.

In 2001 I joined a commercial fit out company as a contracts manager. This further broadened my knowledge of building and the construction industry, managing projects from £20,000 to £7.8m. I very much enjoyed the overall management of the of the projects. This involved anything from CAD design to completion, working closely with our clients, building control and organising various sub-contractors, making sure the client was satisfied and the projects were on time, and within budget.

I have known Brian, Jack and Matt for some time now. They have worked with me on various projects in my previous role. Socially we all play for the same pool league team, as well as relaxing over a few drinks.

When I am not working, I like to play golf (albeit learning all over again after 20yrs), playing pool, travelling and eating out.
